As a variation of belt type, Belt Analyst™ can be used to design and evaluate a pipe conveyors. The menu choices are accessed from the Design Options > Conveyor menu item:

When the pipe belt is selected, the drag calculation method is automatically set to Pipe.

When the pipe belt selection is made, some of the input and output data in Belt Analyst is adjusted to match the different belt type.

•Belt Width

•Belt properties,

•Idler description: the number of rolls is fixed at 6 and the idler angle at 60 degrees.

•Drag forces: estimated using special calculation method.

•Horizontal and vertical curve forces.
