NOT Available in Version 18
A wound-rotor motor is a type of induction motor where the rotor windings are connected through slip rings to external resistances. Adjusting the resistance allows control of the speed/torque characteristic of the motor.
The control routines are defined by inputting the voltage curve.
1.Select "Wound Rotor" on the motor control pull-down list.
The Wound Rotor control option is only available for starting cases.
The Number of Resistors determines the possible motor "steps". The Minimum Torque at Stall defines the slope of the first "step".
The step data is entered in the control table and displayed on the control curve chart.
Drive can be set to start after start of simulation. This option can be used to stagger the start times of multiple drives.
2.Control sequence can be aborted at a set time.
