Idler Design Characteristics Input Section

BasicInputs-IdlerAnalyst

The inputs for this section are described as follows:

No. Rolls – The number of rolls that make up the idler set. Valid input is integers from 1 to 9. A column will be created in the roll table for each roll necessary for the idler set as input here.

Roll Gap – is the shortest distance between each roll in the set.

Design life – The target design life in hours for each roll on the idler set.

Failure Probability – The target failure probability for each roll for calculating the design life. As an example, L10 calculations assume 10% failure at a calculated design life and L15 calculations assume 15% failure at a calculated design life.
