Friction Coefficient

The coefficient of friction between the belt and rotating idlers.

Range   0.0 to 0.50

It is recommended to keep this friction value as small as possible in order to simulate worst case conditions of wet, cold, etc.

Horizontal Radius

The actual horizontal radius used in the location of the calculation.

Vertical Curve

If the calculation location includes a horizontal and a vertical curve (compound curve), input the vertical radius here.     A negative number is used for a convex radius and a positive number is used for a concave radius. If no vertical curve exists, input a zero (0).

Range (Negative for Convex Radius and Positive for Concave Radius)
