Motor Torque Curve

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Each drive must have motor torque curve, even if the motor is not used.

Motor torque-speed curves can be automatically created, recalled from saved data or input by the user.

Clicking on the create button will pop-up a menu of standard curves.

Use “Open” button to input saved motor data and motor torque curve.

Use "Save As" button to save the displayed motor torque curve for later recall for another drive.

This is not required for normal running since the motor torque curve data is saved with the current DA data files.

The specific motor torque-speed curve data points can be input into the displayed table; the table has 15 steps.

Minimum speed (0.0) and  torque -- 1st step

Speed, torque -- 2nd step

Speed at max torque (~95%), max torque(~200%)

Speed at full torque (~98%), full load torque(100%)

Max speed, 0.0 torque -- at maximum speed

Over speed, negative torque -- motor holds back if overdriven

torque = (HP x 5252)/rpm
